A pretty untalented wizard, called Friegsied, raised me.
\nWell, he gave me food and shelter, but that\u2019s it\u2026 No.. in fact I also learned to wash the dishes, clean the floor and prepare food\u2026 I am an expert in that now.
\nI guess it was not that bad, he taught me to read and write (so I can write his letters for him).
\nBut at least I must admit, he never hit me.
\nThe languages and even basic magic, I taught myself by listening and by watching my stepfather and others practice.<\/p>\n
In my hometown I also found an old book about Raumathar. This book told the story about an adventure-party including an elven raumathar BattleWizard and a dwarvish Paladin. This paladin was pretty awesome, according to the story he managed to slice a giant in two pieces with only one strike of his mighty battleaxe.<\/p>\n
They were hunting a demon in these lands. Finally they confronted the demon in a dungeon not far from my hometown and banished it. They even followed it to hell and finally killed it there. There are rumors that this party managed to collect quiet a lot artifacts on their journeys.<\/p>\n
Once in a while some adventures made camp in our village. I soon found out that they were a pretty good source of information. Those guys with pointy hats also helped me to improve my magic.<\/p>\n
One day one of those nice guys told me that there is a small, but old ruin not far from the settlement. I explored it several times. It showed traces of raumathar and soon this culture fascinated me even more.<\/p>\n
About six month ago I detected a secret room within the ruins, well hidden and protected by traps. It took me months of preparation to finally be able to enter this room.
\nAnd finally on my last visit, I opened the room. While concentrating to enter this room, I forgot time and it was far after midnight when I left the ruin again.
\nI nearly paid this mistake with my life.
\nA small band of orcs, led by a huge black orc call Gunag, made rest close to the ruins and detected me. Using my magic, I could barely escape. But the orcs grapped my backpack and stole my new finding.<\/p>\n
And on top of this, Friegsried was not pleased when I told him the story.
\nWell I had to, when I came back, he was already waiting for his breakfast and I lost some of his equipment with the backpack.<\/p>\n
I guess he could not afford a slave like this anymore and to he threw me out\u2026<\/p>\n
Sometimes fate is a bitch, but in this case\u2026 I was lucky.
\nOnly hours after I was thrown out, a group of elves traveled right through our village\u2026 and even more fortunately they were willing to let me join.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s how I came here.<\/p>\n
